No Shining Lights

Was curious last night about the progress on the national Xmas tree and went for another stroll along the big white building. Expecting total grandeur in shining light, I must say I was a bit disappointed to see the tree standing their by itself, alone, and DARK in the dark. The lamps were there but the only thing shining in its proximity were the camera flashes from the Spanish tourist group taking pictures of the building. Where's the old American grandeur? Has the change already come? Surely, America needs to save energy to reach the ambitious goal of lowering greenhouse emissions (and that with no new nuclear power...?) but that tree looked so far from its potential. Or perhaps the Bushes were just not home. At least no more scary Social Democrates in sight. That's always somethin' because soon, that will not be the case anymore. The Bunny is comin' home Friday. To a place where the Dark side still prevails, independently how many Xmas trees are being lit. And I ain't talking about the lack of daylight. Do not dispair - Lightning Change will come also to the Dark doorsteps.
