Straight Talking Bunny Island Report - Part I - Red Ears
Your Straight Talking Bunny is finishing up some holidaying on the Swedish island Gotland and is gathering the thoughts. There has been sun. And the (now) reddish bunny ears is not the only place flying the red flag, to say the least. If you turned right in Visby, you saw Ylva Törn (who believed that her low-income members happily paid +30% in tax in spite of complaining they could not accumulate the slightest of money). If you turned right, you saw some SSUs, young Social Democrats (so young, already so bitter and with no prospects for the future - what has happened to the poor kids?). And if you looked straight ahead, at least you did not see your Bunny's old favourite from Washington, Thomas Ostros, but instead the new doctor Baylan. With a smirky smile on his face and wearing some ridiculous sandals on his feet, he moved into an infrastructure seminar. Of course in the nicest hotel.

After a long and happy winter, your bunny has straightened the ears against the sun!

The Bunny is Back. Unemployed. Revealed.
There you go - a lot can be said in one heading. The Straight Talking Bunny is back. There is still snow on the ground. The tree is in the house. Social Democrates are still the same. Just watched morning TV and heard another great quote. It is apparently time to make another package to support those who have the worst chances to get a job to 'strenghten them to enable them to compete for the jobs'. Is it not better to grow the absolute number of jobs? Grow the Pie. The Bunny likes Pie. More pie for everyone.

No Shining Lights
Was curious last night about the progress on the national Xmas tree and went for another stroll along the big white building. Expecting total grandeur in shining light, I must say I was a bit disappointed to see the tree standing their by itself, alone, and DARK in the dark. The lamps were there but the only thing shining in its proximity were the camera flashes from the Spanish tourist group taking pictures of the building. Where's the old American grandeur? Has the change already come? Surely, America needs to save energy to reach the ambitious goal of lowering greenhouse emissions (and that with no new nuclear power...?) but that tree looked so far from its potential. Or perhaps the Bushes were just not home. At least no more scary Social Democrates in sight. That's always somethin' because soon, that will not be the case anymore. The Bunny is comin' home Friday. To a place where the Dark side still prevails, independently how many Xmas trees are being lit. And I ain't talking about the lack of daylight. Do not dispair - Lightning Change will come also to the Dark doorsteps.

Someone to be really afraid of
Some of my fellow Amerians have expressed an anxiety of Newly Elect Barrack Obama (hereafter called NEBO). Rumours go that he will turn the US into a socialist state - booohhhhooo! Hmm, who should they really be afraid of? One for sure - just spotted Thomas Ostros hop into a cab on Pennsylvania Avenue. With his usual aura of angry bitterness - a sight that would make even NEBO's knees to start shaking (irrespectably pre or post the Governator's promised leg exercises). The smirk smile on his face told about his drooling thoughts about the size of government NEBO could build here should he really join the dark side. Now that is a scary thought - even for a Swedenized bunny.

Straight Talking Bunny in DC
Back in the States and just came back from a stroll around the big white building. Happy people everywhere - possibly more on the back of yesterday's vote rather than that they finally are putting up this year's Xmas tree. Probably both. The tree put all thoughts on the must-do:s the coming time into Santa's bag and make it easier to drift along with a Gingerbread Latte in ones paw and just enjoying the autumn feeling. That's damn good coffee btw. More on politics later.
